The TVTome forum held an experiment-creation-contest-type-thing some time ago, so I made a little guy for it. And, since I joined ~ experiencia624's ~NewExperiments-club, I figure I should make somthing to submit That, plus I've been in a really Lilo-&-Stitch-y drawing mood lately
Anyways, his name is Geiger, named after Johannes Wilhelm Geiger, the German physicist who (along with Walther Muller) developed the Geiger counter. Actually, his name for the contest was "Neutrino" (hence the "nu" on his chest), but I decided to give him a real name instead
So, he's basically a nuclear reactor (designed to be a weapon). He houses several cores (due to constant decay and changing atoms, it's impossible to say at any given time what the cores are made of), and wears two cadmium capsules around his neck which he's required to swallow if he begins to overheat and approach meltdown (cadmium absorbs neutrons and slows nuclear fission, if you didn't already know). Due to the decay, he would emit a great deal of gamma radiation, but, as a safeguard (or additional weapon, however you look at it), he's equipped with a device to lower the frequency of the radiation and guide it through his hands, making him able to alter it to nearly any other form of electromagnetic wave. Hence, he functions not only as a nuclear weapon, but also a flashlight, radar scrambler, and microwave! (among other, less practical things). Unfortunately, he's pitifully weak, and, as a result, was quickly overshadowed by Richter, the next experiment created, and forgotten
Yeah, I probably get too into this stuff... whatever. Lineart was made in CorelDraw, coloring done in Photoshop Elements 2. Probably my best coloring job ever, if you ask me Floor from ~ brujo, bricks from ~dragonslayer777. Somehow, bricks emit radioactive particles... I'm not really sure what's in them, but my chemistry professor held a Geiger counter up to the brick wall in the auditorium, and it started clicking Lilo & Stitch experiments (c) Disney, but this one is mine!!!
Thanks! I like the capsules. I had to keep playing with the shading so they wouldn't look like dog tags, but I think they turned out good and shiny n__n ... I like shiny o_o
X3
very nice and well thougth out. and for some reason the cadnium caps round his neck just look so cool
